GCAP Learning Exercise 2008

An overall learning exercise of GCAP is currently under way. The outcome of the exercise will feed into a capacity building plan for coalitions and constituency groups. One-page updates on coalition activity are being developed, with the first one on GCAP Georgia already available online.

  • International Facilitation Team (IFT) The main task of the GCAP International Facilitation Team is to inspire and to promote co-operation and mutual support between the participating regional/national coalitions and networks. The mandate of the group is defined by the policy objectives and mobilisation plans decided by the Beirut meeting. The group has this mandate until the end of the year 2007.
  • GCAP Structure post-2007 At the GCAP global meeting in Montevideo on 3-5 May 2007, it was decided that GCAP would continue to operate at least till 2015. With the decision, the Future Structure Task Group was formed and mandated to come up with recommendations on the future structure to be discussed at the GCAP International Facilitation Team and the larger constituencies of GCAP for review and endorsement. With this mandate, the Group started its deliberations and hereby submit its draft GCAP New Structure proposal.
  • Documents from GCAP's Portuguese Speaking Group - CPLP In the context of GCAP, and as a critical response to the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs), civil society organizations from the Community of Portuguese-Speaking Countries (CPLP), in partnership with CIVICUS and Jubilee 2000 Angola, met in the city of Luanda, Angola, from February 27 to March 01, 2007.
